We had an excellent turnout for our annual Awards Banquet at Cafe Lily the evening of Thursday, December 7, 2017.

New member, Hassan Ali, swept most of our major club awards for 2017: Creative Photographer of the Year, Color Photographer of the Year, Digital Photographer of the Year, plus, Rookie of the Year.  Go to our Winners Gallery to see all the ribbon winning images for 2017.

The club's most prestigious award, the Bernd Greulich Lifetime Achievement Award was bestowed to Don Stephens.  His citation reads:

"For outstanding contributions to photography and to the Society through: His long time club membership and service as a club officer: twice as President, and four times as Vice President. His continually excellent photography.  His superb mentorship through programs, hands-on instruction and writing of articles.  His regular sage advice and always being there to help."

We also celebrated the club's successes.  Chris Handley brought along the very nice award that the Atlanta Photographic Society won for 2nd place in the Photographic Society of America's (PSA's) 2017 Web Site Contest!

Once again, Don Stephens provided the beautiful posters of the Masters Competition and Salon winning images for the auction.  And Janerio Morgan surprised everyone by donating a gorgeous framed, canvas print to the cause.  Our treasury benefited greatly!

The food and drink at Cafe Lily were outstanding once again.  The whole group had a great time, and we are all looking forward to lots more superb images during 2018.
