Join the Club

The Atlanta Photographic Society is a photography club established for the enjoyment of people sharing an interest in photography. APS is a non-profit organization for photographers from the “Beginner to the Professional”.

Visit one of our monthly competitions or programs to watch what goes on during our meetings.

Competition Nights:

The 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM (except December) is dedicated to judged competitions in Black & White Prints, Color Prints, and Digital Entries. Ribbons are awarded to the winners in each category. See our Competition Schedule. See our Competition Schedule.

Program Nights:

The 4th Thursday of each month (see calendar for exceptions) is for programs. These may include “Photo shows”, “Presentations” by members and guests, or “How to” instructional presentations. See our Program Schedule.

In addition to the two monthly meetings we also do frequent workshops and field trips, and exhibitions like the Annual Salon Show during October in conjunction with “Atlanta Celebrates Photography." This show, like our monthly competitions, is judged and certificates are awarded to the winners.

Our members find participating in APS activities fun, challenging and rewarding. It’s all about enjoying your photography more and learning to make stronger images, with more artistry and impact. We learn from showing our images and getting feedback from the judges’ critiques and from each other. Good efforts are recognized and rewarded.

$5 Discount when you pay by cash or check.

Subtract $5 from your annual membership level and $5 from the annual competition dues (optional). Example: $35 - $5 = $30 for an individual membership and $35 - $5 = $30 for annual competition dues - your total for both would be $60 for cash or check.

If your check does not carry your home address and phone number, please include this information on a separate piece of paper. Also, please be sure to include your email address since this is how we communicate with our members.
