Using the textbook, How to Shoot Video That Doesn’t Suck by Steve Stockman, and lots of other resources, we will learn video together. This excellent text is now in its seventh printing. Used copies are available from internet bookstores for under $10 including shipping, or new for about $13.00 at a local bookstore. All of us have more experience and ideas than any one of us. Except for occasional guest presenters, none of us are experts with video.

Learning will be through a combination of study assignments and practical exercises, designed to be fun and not too demanding. We'll also visit RITE Media's Atlanta studios to "learn from the pros."

Upon completion of the curriculum each student will have individual work and notes for reference, plus a copy of the class project: a completed and fully edited video developed through everyone's collaboration.

Graduates will be ready to plan and execute competent, meaningful and enjoyable video projects on their own. Parameters for the class project video are being coordinated with First Baptist Church of Decatur (our Club's meeting host throughout the year). Our video will be donated to the church and become a valued and useful tool for their ongoing missions.
